Outcome Based Education: A Case Study
MetadataShow full item record
Outcome-based education is a model of education that rejects the traditional focus on what the teachers teach students, in favor of making students demonstrate that they "know and are able to do" whatever the required outcomes are. The 'know and able to do' are the two key words that correspond to the highest levels of the Bloom's taxonomy. The model emphasizes setting clear standards for observable, measurable outcomes. The keynote lecture will share how such education is in the stages of implementation at BS Abdur Rahman University and discuss some experiences while trying to implement it.
