QoS Issues of Applying PNRP in a MANET

Appropriate to the distinctive of Mobile Ad hoc Network (MANET), most of the existing Non-Repudiation (NR) protocols cannot work properly due to inadequate resources, not having central authority. To assure electronic broadcasting over air medium in infrastructure-less wireless network communication, clients may require an NR service to ensure QoS. Principally, QoS of a MANET performed by Probabilistic Non- Repudiation Protocols (PNRP) that depends upon unique design of PNRP such as security, time session between nodes transmission, cryptography etc. In this paper, the authors point out the issues of using PNRP in a MANET environment, and propose to modify a version of PNRP to improve the performance in such an infrastructure-less environment. This is a critical enhancement for nodes in a resources-constraint wireless environment. Five QoS issues are discussed in this paper, the first four issues cannot improve the performance any way; but the last one, namely, period of time-out issues of sender and receiver is solved using encryption method of Time Release Crypto (TRC).The parameters which are related to QoS and the failure probability to improve the QoS needs further research to stay away from all limitation of PNRP.
