Investment Corporation of Bangladesh (ICB) was established in 1976 with the objectives of accelerating industrialization and economic development of the country through development of capital market by mobilizing savings and encouraging and improving the investment climate in the country with particular emphasis placed on broadening the base and scope of investments as well as tapping marginal investors. During 37 years of operation, it has come forward as a responsible and trustworthy public sector institution. The report deals with the successful product of ICB named ICB mutual funds. This report focused on measuring financial performance of 8 closed end mutual funds of ICB based on last 5 years data. Average annual return, earning per share, dividend performance, price earnings ratio, Standard deviation have been calculated for the fundamental analysis. The mutual funds, advantage of mutual funds, formation of mutual funds, objectives of mutual funds are broadly described in this report. Chapter 3 is the prime and foremost chapter of the report. It shows the figure and table and financial result which is found from the calculation using the raw data collected from various sources. Average return and standard deviation have been calculated for the last five years. Chapter four is another important part of this report. It covers the findings, recommendation and conclusion of the report. A conclusion has been drawn and some recommendations have been provided for the improvement of mutual funds of Investment Corporation of Bangladesh (ICB).
